How to Make Bootleg Hot Cocoa a Family Tradition
Making bootleg hot cocoa is one of my favorite Christmas traditions…1 that extends all wintertime long!
Every Christmas Eve nosotros sit down together as a family, read the Christmas Story, and potable hot cocoa together, before the kids have a sleep party sleeping around the Christmas tree.
Then we carry them off to bed in one case they are fast asleep, then Santa can do his thing! This post contains chapter links.
One of our friends as well hosts an annual gingerbread business firm decorating party the same night that our town holds its annual tree lighting in front end of town hall.
Each family brings a gingerbread house to decorate, and a dish to share at my friend's house, so we go to the tree lighting.
This year I am going to bring a portable hot cocoa bar as my "dish", consisting of:
- a cute holiday tray to hold everything on her counter
- festive travel coffee cups
- cocoa
- marshmallows
- whipped foam
- chocolate sauce
- caramel sauce
- and crushed processed canes.
So, we tin can all have a warm cup of cocoa to enjoy as we walk up to the tree lighting!
I love how hot chocolate is an like shooting fish in a barrel, affordable treat that helps necktie whatsoever event or holiday outing together.
My hope is that these traditions are something that my children will remember and hold honey, to share with their own family one day.
